Rearcross U-12's trekked to Dombane for this Friday evening league fixture against Clodiagh Rangers and claimed the win on a two nil scoreline. Rearcross showed strongly from the kick off and bagged the opener when good play on the right saw the ball break in front of goal to Brian Nolan who rammed to the roof of the net. The visitors kept the pressure on and came close to adding a second when Andy Kinnane's effort skidded wide of the post. The hosts tried hard to game back in to the game but a back trio of Aílin Rochford, Cian O'Toole and Eimear Carey were to the fore to deny their opponents an equalizer. Brian Nolan combined with Cillian Kennedy with the latter not far away with a good effort midway through the half. Rearcross made it two nil with thirteen minutes remaining when Cillian Kennedy sent a low drive from outside the box whizzing to the back of the net. Chances fell to both sides in the second half, however Rearcross stood firm to hold out for the win with Cormac Sheehy unlucky not get on the scoresheet near the end.
